In Maryland, the program is sponsored by the Maryland State Highway Administration, AAA Mid-Atlantic and Yellow cab, will provide cab rides up to $50 from a bar or restaurant to the patrons home. Soapbox Derby – Centennial Event

Baltimore Kids Bringing Science to Life (KBSL) is pleased to present its annual Charm City Soap Box Derby Initiative. This is a great activity for the kids of Maryland. Through a series of hands on clinics, kids can learn about science through the construction of a soapbox vehicle, and then later have the opportunity to competitively race. Winners advance to represent Maryland in the national race in Akron, Ohio. Champions are eligible to win college scholarships. August 8, 2008
